Not quite what I had in mind.

Well, let's see. I meant to be writing the next Southern Comfort fic. I did get 500 words, but they're going to have to be reworked into more usable form. I also got 900 words of a short sequel to "Keeping The Wolves From The Doors." ::shaking head:: I suppose that's what I get for reading volume 12 of the manga, but oh, well. Just a thought but have you considered going back to the beginning of Southern Comfort and reading it all the way through to the point where you've stopped? I find that helps when I'm working on a long piece (especially term papers) just to get back into the mindset.

And why are you reading books on writing when you already know how to write? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And let your betas do their job. That's why you keep them on retainer, ne? :)

{{hugs}} Oh, I've reread them all. I've even handed what I have of Depth of Field to my alpha readers. They just look at me and go, "The story's fine, Rhi. You're allergic to angst is the problem. Write it in small doses."

And I know how to write some things. ::shrugs:: Learning new things doesn't usually hurt. ::amused:: I just forgot it gives me caterpillar syndrome for a while. (You know -- "But how do you coordinate 100 feet?" and then suddenly you're not sure either.)

{{hugs}} It's getting there, truly. ::wry:: Probably about 22K words at the end. Thanks for the hugs and the encouragement!

Okay. *grins* I'll take off my bossy boots and let you be. But if you need someone to bounce ideas off, I'm around. Angst is one of my strengths.

::wry:: And I *hate* angst. Oh, well. ::grins:: I'm alternating with stuff I enjoy more. Necessary slog -- yuck. {{hugs}} Thanks, hon!
