A meme, to keep me busy! As gacked from
Vaznetti:
You post a topic, list, category, whatever, in my comments section. (Examples: "5 people we didn't know Connor met", or "5 fights I never want to write"). Then, in a separate post, I'll post the answers to all your Top 5 ideas, according to me. Serious or fun! Then you post this offer in your own journal, if the mood takes you.
Fannish or non.
And, as gacked from
Killabeez, who got it from the
fannish5:
What 5 pieces of advice would you give to characters in your fandom(s)?
(I'm not sure I'm supposed to use names here, so, hey, why not? Answers will be posted later. Say, when I post the other meme in a few days…)
- I know, I know, it's a good plan, an intricate plan, it accounts for everything, gets the loot, and he never gets mortals killed on his jobs. Hello! Isn't that a sword in your coat?
- The big guy with the sword is a huge help when you're in trouble, but… go see someone else for your studies, okay? He's got the sword skills to match the trouble his morals land him in. You don't yet.
- Take a deep breath, get a beer, go make good music. He'll be back in a few days. And if he's not, go over for dinner. He can't resist being the host, the food's good, and you two can sort it out. Really.
- Watch the corners, and the shadows, and the dark alleyways -- but not for immortals. Watch for Watchers. Catch yours, pin him or her against a wall, and insist on names of good psychologists who know about the Game. Then find one you can work with and get some help. No matter how hard it is. One of the most prolific Russian composers dedicated most of his works to his psychologist, and you can't play piano when you're rotting....
- Listen to your instincts, whether they're telling you about allies, enemies, plots, or your coffee addiction I mean habit. And get some sleep occasionally. We need you. Mostly, though, you've got some of the world's best instincts on what to do, or not. Listen to them. Please.
