Writing update

White Horse & Tails (Nero Wolfe/Highlander): ~2100 words. Done and now I'm looking for betas. I could really use someone who knows the Nero Wolfe lexicon to see if Saul's voice sounds right. (Alexandralynch, didn't you offer, back when? Do you still have time to look this over?)

Second Theft (Orig. fic): ~2400 words. I'm muttering about 'I'm writing what ( Read more... )

I'm available for beta on any and all, though I don't know Nero Wolfe. Glad it's flowing again!

::laughing:: Sent 'em to you, and dear gods, I'm going to bed before I write more on Storm Crow. ::cheerful:: Fanfic to get rolling, then origfic while I'm on a roll -- works quite nicely, thank goodness. Night!

Thanks! (on the icon). It's yet another of the lovely set Sundara made for me last week.

Feedback on White Horse and Tails, and the Second Theft addition, in the mail. Sleep well, princess.

Wow, that was fast -- thank you! ::cheerful:: Off to go check, now that I've seen my mom, my sister, three nieces, and burnt my leg. ::rolling eyes:: Red beans and rice belong in the bowl, not on my pants....

If you don't get a better offer, I can beta the Wolfe/Highlander, but I'm not sure I really have Saul's voice either, and I don't know Highlander for jack. So consider me a last resort.

(Psst--have you seen this?)

"Storm Crow (X-Files/Highlander): ~100 words, but it was last and I was getting tired and had someplace else I needed to be. kickair8p, hon, I know I asked for lyrics, so this is my fault, but if you want to take part of the blame, let me know, okay? (Why can't I ever write something short?!?)"

Either "~100 words" is a typo, or you have an odd idea of "not short". ::g:: And I'll cheerfully take the blame for anything you write, you know that! Is this the one from the "Sign of the Gypsy Queen" lyrics?

"It feels amazingly good to have words spilling out of my fingers again...."

Ditto'ng this, although I'm embarrassed to admit just what I'm writing. OTOH, the fact that the first sex scene I actually finish writing will be a m/m/f threesome may be your fault. But who am I gonna blame for my apparently unique ability to write a plain-vanilla threesome sex scene.....?

On my way to bed...

Er, no. I *added* @100 words (plus another 200 just now) -- current total is 6,800 words and, er, it's heading for 20k, easy. Plot: my bestting vice. Yes, it's that one from the Sign of the Gypsy Queen. So, yes, your fault, kinda. {{hugs}}

Cool, what are you writing, and who? And having done vanila threesomes, I guess you blame me? I'll take the blame, anyway. {{hugs}}

"...current total is 6,800 words and, er, it's heading for 20k, easy."

Yay! Uhm, oops? ::g::

Actually, the scene's vanilla because of the three characters only one's done a threesome before, and one's a bit nervous about it, so KISS is the order of the day. And it's (gods help me) Jack/Doctor/Rose, from the 27th season of Doctor Who (the one that's running on SciFi right now). With a WiP list a mile long, *this* story's been eating my brain. ::sigh::

You've written a plain-vanilla threesome? Where? I seem to recall all of your sex scenes being spicy. ::g:: Although I'll happily blame you for this -- I'm not sure I'd be willing to try writing a threesome at all if it weren't for you.

I can't beta Nero Wolfe/Highlander, but I'm certainly looking forward to reading it!

::laughing:: I'm just glad it's done. It stalled midway about three months ago. Now I just hope it works!

So. I know absolutely nothing about Nero Wolfe. What am I going to need to read/watch beforehand so I can follow the story better? I mean, I'm sure I'd like the HL stuff regardless, but it's more fun if you know both halfs, y'know? :->

::grins at you:: The A&E Nero Wolfe series (only two seasons, drat it) will catch you up quickly, and I think you'll enjoy Saul. And yeah, this'll make *much* more sense to you if you know Nero Wolfe. I tried to make it comprehensible if you don't, but I'm not sure how well I succeeded.

(That's Saul & Archie in the icon, if I picked the right icon...)
