And thanks for the Mac OS note, I hadn't seen that one. Fortunately it's an OS version well ahead of where I am (although if I ever get around to buying a new 'puter it'll be relevant...). Mind you, I run anti-viral software anyhow. BBC had a note the other day about people starting to design virii specifically for macs, too... (Not that there were none before, but there's probably more now if any news site actually took note of it...)

As for the HP - I don't have a clue about Lily, but I'm reasonably sure the Marauders were actually all Gryffindors canonically. (If anyone contradicts me on this, believe them, though. It's been a while since I read the books)

About Peter Pettigrew - since nowhere actually SAYS he's a Gryffindor, I tend to believe he's not. Yes, he was hanging around with the Marauders, but these folks are placed by the Sorting Hat. If Gryffindor were to be summed up with a word, it would be "courage".

Peter is a man of many qualities, some fine and some despicable. But "courage" doesn't even make the list.

BTW, the Sorting Hat would put MacLeod in Gryffindor for exactly the qualities that drive Methos up the wall. And here is a terrific HL/HP WIP story that I found completely by accident. Professor McGonagall's family has been hunting the Demon of the MacLeods for generations...

I would have to agree with tarsh that they were all (including Lily) from gryffindor, but again I can't brinng actual references to bear. Meanwhile, yeah on the story, I can't wait to read that. (I will wait of course, and be pleased and patient about it but you know what I mean!)Enjoy Escapade.
