"Winter Waltz," PG, HL/BtVS

Oct 18, 2005 21:33

Another story for crossovers100.

Disclaimers: alysswolf, tarshaan, and wenchita tell me I didn't screw up too much. If I did, it is of course my fault, not theirs. Prompts provided by devohoneybee: delicate, tocsin, thorn. Rated: PG at worst. No moneys made, no infringement intended, all characters returned alive -- or dead -- as I found them. Enjoy.

Mmmm, excellent Dru fic! I never caught the Sean Burns eps but I loved the way he handled her.

The part that almost no one seems to remember about Sean Burns is the deleted/Eurominutes scene from 'Till Death when Fitz does not want to have to fight a duel with him. Sean was a superb healer, a former monk, a psychologist with more than a touch of Voice... and a very, very skilled swordsman by implication. Mostly, though, he was a healer with priorities. I found this an odd one to write, but fun. Sort of. Glad you liked it! (Now I just need a Sean icon!)

Great reading. Loved the details. Wonder who did pick her up outside?

::grinning:: Thanks! Glad you liked it! ::shaking head:: The sanest of the immortals and the craziest of the vampires... what was I thinking?

That they both dance divinely?

Oooo, nice. What an unexpected set of characters to cross. :) I liked, Rhi, and no, I found nothing in particular out of whack. :)

Yay! Thanks, dearheart. I'm always a little dubious on writing characters outside HL or XF, so it's always reassuring to hear I got the other characters right. ::cheerful:: Glad you liked. Isn't that an odd pairing? Fun, but... wow. Sean's so nice about being relentless.

(Love your icon, too!)

What a lovely picture you paint.

I'm so looking forward to your 100 crossovers.

I'm having so much fun writing them that another 97 doesn't seem like an insurmountable goal, more like a long-running party that I'm invited for.

Glad you're enjoying these, too -- thanks for the feedback!

You have a knack for taking the most common crossovers, then turning them into the most uncommon (but v. welcome) stories. Marvelous, just marvelous--Drusilla being invited in because it's too cold, Sean dancing with her both physically and verbally, and then casting her out of his domain... I loved every word of this.

::wincing:: Well, really, those poor orderlies had no idea what they'd let inside. Sean, on the other hand, didn't need a mandatory holiday for admitting he believes in reality I mean vampires. Glad you enjoyed this so! (I'm having more fun with this, but I keep wincing about spamming peoples' friends lists. I mean... 3 stories in a week? EEP!)
