Er, help?

Rich is, canonically, susceptible to resonances off quickenings. The cigar smoking after he killed Alec Hill being the immediate case in point. What if Carter Wellan slipped on the gravel and lost the physical fight... but not the mental one? Can anyone else see a story where Rich/Carter tries to convince Haresh that it'll be all right somehow ( Read more... )

::snickering:: I believe at this point, the correct reply runs, "Hey! Some help you are!"

Weren't you supposed to tell me not to do this? I've been dodging this plot bunny for years, ever since I wrote Falling Stars.

I would never, ever tell you not to write *anything*. All Rhi fic is good fic. ::blows kisses::

No, no, you're supposed to tell me to go back to work on my novel. Instead, I'm designing a new website. ::sigh::

Eep! Er, that's no help. I need to write a novel, not this. Oh, well. Back to cleaning up webpages....

Ok, don't write it--but I think it would be a great learning experience for Richie. The Alec Hill affair had as much to do with connection-beyond-death between the two lovers as it did with Ritchie's suseptibility. Obviously Whellan and Haresh had am immortal 'thang' going--so let's hear the history of that affair and also about the not-so-much-fun part of being used by a ghost.

::laughing:: oh, if I did it, Rich would slowly be subsumed by Carter. Or merged with, or something. He wouldn't be the same person at the end, and not just in the sense of a lesson learned. I've been fighting this bunny for years. Thanks, though!
