Hot damn! By a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court has blocked the Child Online Protection Act as a muzzle on free speech! They haven't overturned it; they sent it back to the lower court to see if the technology has improved any in the last five years.

Yay! Thanks for posting this -- I've been on three different news sites today and haven't seen a word about it, so I'm glad others have been more observant than I. It's great news.

The decision was *just* released: I got it on a 'breaking news' email. *Such* good news! (Can you tell I run around with a reference librarian, to be bouncing so over this?) And you're welcome. WHEE!

Thank you for the link! I greatly prefer the BBC as an information source, particularly on items that my current administration won't like.

I hope you're doing well and staying busy rather than upset or bothered, which I only mention because June 21 came and went without a sign of Hermione's wedding. I'm not nagging about the story, simply wondering if its lack is a sign that I should send good wishes?
