The 'Cult Television Shows' Meme.
If I watched it regularly, it's in bold font.
If I watched it occasionally, it's in italics.
If I never watched it, it's struck through.

I just don't really watch much television. Odd, that, given that I write fanfic, but there it is.

Hmmm…… I guess I watch more cult TV than I thought. ;) I’ll put my regular shows in bold and the occasional ones in italics, as you did. I’m just not going to include the ones I never watched.

23. Forever Knight
19. Dark Shadows (the original series)
18. Dr. Who (primarily 4th Doctor)
17. The Avengers (Emma Peel years were the best)
15. Quantum Leap
14. Beauty and the Beast
13. Babylon 5
9. Xena: Warrior Princess
8. Twilight Zone (Rod was responsible for a lot of nightmares when I was growing up )
7. The Prisoner (and its predecessor)
6. The Simpsons
3. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (go Giles!)
2. X-Files
1. Star Trek (TOS - yes, TNG - yes, DS9 frequently)

one that should have been on there, for us old-timers
The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

*Oh,* yeah, Man From U.N.C.L.E. should have been on there! (You have been to Area 40 for the fanfic, right?) And I'm not sure that Wild, Wild West shouldn't have been there, too.

Oh! And was 'The Fugitive' just too mainstream to be a cult show? (I know the Muppets was....)

The Fugitive may have been too mainstream, or too old. I wonder if there was a cutoff date for U.S. shows? Dr. Who is probably the oldest show on the list, but it didn't reach the colonies until a few decades later, as I recall.

The Muppet Show should have made the list -- I knew people who refused to leave the house for anything until it was over.

Oh but sweetie, Daaarling, you just have *got* to watch AbFab.

(Don't know about any US remake but the original British version with Joanna Lumley; who is just divine. She is stunning, gorgeous and quite happily mercilessly lampoons herself as much as anyone.)

It is just such exquisite British humour. I think you have to have a sense of irony to really appreciate it, which is why I can rec it to *you*

::giggling:: Sounds like I'd love it, yeah. I'll start looking to see when they run it over here. Surely it's in syndicaton....
