Speaking of, Fred's fridging also was the worst, even though it led to the sublime perfection that was the Illyria arc. Uh. Yeah. Basically I try to keep calm and focus on Amy Acker's slayage on S5 rewatches.
And I think you're the first Fred/Gunn shipper I've come across to acknowledge how problematic they became (tho that storyline was compelling stuff). Mess @ that entire triangle, good grief.

I feel like ~with age I'm growing more and more bitter toward that series b/c of all the travesties/needless heartbreak/fridging in S3-S5. I love the characters SO much, but even the less problematic seasons feel tainted. Woe.
