Oh, thank you, your lovely, long comment made me so happy! I'm so pleased that you can see these sorts of things happening and that you're enjoying the story. I was worried that people would think I had completely lost my marbles.

But most of all (and this is the really scary part), you know that Hollywood, the media and everyone in the country would react exactly this way. Ack!

Ah, I'm glad you can picture it, too! Every time I wondered if I was getting too ridiculous, I thought of al the reality shows these days and people who get briefly and inexplicably famous, like the Gosselins, and that made me feel better...and slightly in despair for the country. And I wasn't thinking of THG when I started writing, but as I went on that was definitely in the back of my mind, how everything is a performance and "reality" is a complete construct on television, and how audiences are always salivating for the next "epic" story.

Oh no! I mean, it if gets Spike back, this ploy will have been worth it. But even so, I can't see Buffy reacting well to life as a tabloid target, which is basically what she's signed up for now. She's definitely not Kardashian material.

I can't wait to read what comes next.

It'll definitely be a radical change, but unlike the Kardashians, she won't keep seeking out fame! And hopefully the pseudonym will help her a bit. I definitely felt a bit bad at the thought of what she might have to put up with, but I figured, if she can take all the crazy stuff Dark Horse throws at her, she can take a little celebrity. :P
