I think I've said it before, but your head!canon for these characters is so enjoyable.

I picked modern family, suburgatory, new girl, how i met your mother, community, and parks and rec

I think she would stay away from shows that are heavy in the supernatural because that is her life already and focus more on the shows that represent family. I do see her checking out Doctor Who, and the Big Bang theory to appease Andrew while secretly enjoying them herself. And maybe watching The Vampire Diaries with Spike to make fun of all the "Poncy portrayals of vampires on tv" with him.

Thank you! :) I probably spend entirely too much time thinking up head!canon, but it's so much fun.

I chose supernatural shows because I thought she would be curious about how the writers' interpretations differed from the "real world," but I can easily see your line of reasoning, too. I like your idea that her favorite shows are about family, especially extended/non-biological/non-traditional families like HIMYM and Community- that hadn't occurred to me, but it makes a lot of sense.

I think Lauren said a few weeks ago that there should be a fic of Dawn and Spike and maybe Andrew and Buffy, too, watching and critiquing (or flailing over) TVD, and I totally agree. T'would be very cool.

Spike would make them all watch Ringer because those "scintillating bitches" are "bloody gorgeous."

For me, all of the shows (apart from The Simpsons and Dr Who) fall into the category of 'things I have heard of, but never watched'. I think I'd need to spend some serious time with my television before I could vote!!
