Title: For Keeps

Summary: When unknown demons attack Spike in autumn 2019 and infect him with what seems to be a parasite, all Slayer and Watcher hands are on deck to try to get it out of him.  But what if the “parasite” could be something more?

I think you did a great job playing up the horror and violation of the situation. Bleah!

Also, it was neat to see all the Slayer and Watcher resources starting to work en masse for our heroes' benefit. I'm so used to reading about them with almost no support; what a relief to see them have friends with skills to fall back on.

Poor Spike. Poor worried Buffy! I look forward to the big reveal, when they realize what's going on.

I have the first chapter and a half written of that, too, and I wanted to post it as well, but I figured posting two WIP was too much of a commitment at once.

This is awesome! I'm not usually one for mpreg (snickfic has written the only mpreg I've liked), but I really like where this going. Plus, I've liked everything of yours I've read, so I doubt I'll be disappointed.*g*

I really like the backstory details. The Council clearly being an effective institution and the little bits about their family life. Buffy wondering about the chocolate sauce is great. It's such a realistic response to a high stress situation.

I've said this before, but I'll say it again. I utterly enjoy your 'verse and look forward to learning more about it.

I'm totally feeling your pain re: first WIP posted, so I won't say "I can't wait for an update!" Instead I will say, I look forward to reading more of this fic when it is updated, whenever that turns out to be.

I'm so glad you like those details! There's going to be a lot of that- it's really hard to imagine what their lives are like so far in the future but it's also fun. Oh, it makes me really happy that you think the chocolate sauce line is realistic, as that was probably my favorite sentence in this chapter.
