As much as I looooooooooooooove Smidge, I am annoyed as heck that all of the women in those picture are blonde women who resemble each other. Except for Maggie Q. It just hits home how much diversity there isn't in Hollywood.

I noticed the same thing when I saw the pic and was disappointed. And it does seem even to be a blonde thing, not just a white woman thing, 'cause Ginnifer Goodwin is also headlining "Once Upon A Time," and yet she wasn't included in the interview with Jennifer Morrison.

I tried to focus on the laudable aspects, like women interacting and sharing and supporting each other rather than competing! Women headlining genre fiction! Women who aren't dressed only/specifically for the male gaze! And women who know and want to appeal to women viewers first, not men!

Aw, that was lovely! Especially the interviews. Smidge is just adorable, isn't she? And I liked Jennifer Morrison's story about correctly diagnosing her own burst cyst. Hee.

Thanks for the link!

Glad you liked it! I was super excited to see so many talented women interacting- fandoms colliding! SMG is extremely cool. I like how how much she cares about remaining a family unit while shooting (it doesn't seem like an act, given how frequently she mentions its importance to her in interviews). I also liked how she didn't want the mods to say WW "failed" and how she complimented Joss; and that she used the "Buffy the Weekend Killer" nickname.

JM was quite entertaining, too (it is weird to be using those initials and not mean James). Regardless of whether I have a chance to watch it, I'll be rooting for her new show to succeed.
