Hee. I went to the AI concert last year to see Bo Bice. It got really, really too loud by the end (Carrie Underwood has a great voice, but you could barely tell because of the over-amplifcication), but there were some good numbers.
Actually, I don't remember Bo as well as that girl with the big hair who came out jamming on a guitar and did a KICKASS version of "Try A Little Tenderness". But it's possible that I don't remember it very well because before the show and during the intermission, I was reading HBP (I was sitting in a back row, and there were lights that came up, so it was perfect, as long as I ignored the teenaged girls all around me).
Take some earplugs and have a good time!
Ooh, and now that I re-read your post: Yes, Ramones!! We just rented "Rock N Roll High School" which I saw in about 1982. They were RIVETING. You must rent the DVD so you can watch the extras, too (or listen, in the case of the "audio outtakes" -- raw Ramone power). I was never a huge fan, but I really understand now why other people were.

I'll have to rent Rock n/Roll high school. I don't think I ever saw it.
