Oh, I caught this film earlier in the year. My British history's not too great but I liked how not..."sweeping and end of the world and everything we know it" it was. The scope and magnitude were manageable (and not like a cumbersome redo of Elizabeth: The Golden Age). Since I saw Emily Blunt in Devil Wears Prada, I've been rooting for her. Haha, such a shame she didn't get the part in Iron Man.
Yeah, it looks good. Emily was great in Devil Wears Prada. =D Don't think I saw Iron Man. It probably wasn't so "sweeping and end of the world and everything we know it" because Sarah Ferguson started the process initially and I think she studied (or did she write a book about) young Victoria.
I hope it gets picked up at theatres after TIFF... I really don't want to pay $189.26 (and that's balcony seats). I hate that it's closing the festival in that aspect since opening and closing galas are more expensive. =(
I only watched half of Elizabeth: The Golden Age that was screened during our English class last year... we ran out of time, and the prof was like you get the idea, if you want to finish it, you can go rent it.
Is Scarlett Jo in this film too? (Or did you mean in general?)
