mauraders, because she's also a Percy/Penny fan. And a member of the Golden Trio! *loffs*
Penelope walked out of the prefect meeting, her face glowing. She had just received her first ever kiss. From Percy Weasley. Her lips were still tingling. His kiss had been a complete accident. Penelope had dropped a textbook on the floor on her way out the door, and the two of them had bent down to pick it up. Somehow, his lips had wound up on hers and they’d remained there for quite awhile.
Penelope looked over her shoulder to see Percy walking down the corridors in the opposite direction with a slight bounce to his walk. She couldn’t stop the grin that spread across her face. She had been kissed. By Percy Weasley! She was floating on a cloud...
OOF!
Penelope stumbled backwards and the books that had been clutched to her chest fell from her arms. She immediately snapped out of her stupor and bent down to pick up the books. At the same time, she looked up to see whom she had knocked into.
“Oh, hello, Marcus,” she said, gathering the books back into her arms and straightening up. “How are you doing?”
Anger radiated from the seventh year’s eyes. “You Mudblooded bitch!” he growled.
Penelope was startled. “What in the name of Merlin is wrong with you?” she snapped. “How dare you call me that! Take it back!”
Marcus held a piece of parchment in front of her face. “McGonagall is making me repeat next year, thanks to you. You were supposed to be my bloody tutor and you did nothing!”
Penelope’s eyes widened with shock and anger. “That is absolutely not true and you know it! I stayed up almost every night with you, going over that material! It is not my fault that you didn’t pay attention or study!”
Marcus’ face twisted with disgust and rage. Suddenly, he had pushed Penelope up against the wall. Her books toppled out of her arms for the second time. But she wasn’t worried about that at the moment, but rather the fact that this Slytherin looked ready to tear her apart limb to limb.
“Flint!” called a voice.
Penelope turned to see Percy Weasley standing a few feet away, his cheeks red with anger and his blue eyes flashing. She’d never seen him look like that before. “What do you want, Weasley?” Marcus asked, but it sounded more like a threat.
“I want you to leave Clearwater alone, of course!” Percy spat furiously. “Fifty points from Slytherin for attacking a prefect!”
If one looked closely, one would be able to see steam practically coming out of Flint’s ears. He took two long strides towards Percy and punched him square on the nose. Penelope clapped her hands to her mouth to stifle her scream. Percy’s glasses slid right off the edge of his nose and on to the floor. Marcus stepped on them, breaking them in half. He looked as if he wanted to hurt Percy even more, but he settled on simply stalking off.
Penelope ran over to Percy, who was muttering, “-points from itherin!”
“Goodness, are you all right?” She was a bit hysterical as she pulled Percy’s hands away from his nose.
“I can’t see,” Percy moaned, his eyes squinting to look at her.
Penelope picked up his glasses, which were lying broken in pieces on the floor. “Arculus Repairo!” she said, pointing her wand at the spectacles. Gently, she slid the glasses on to Percy’s face, allowing her fingers to run across the soft skin of his cheek.
“Thank you,” he said in a high pitched voice.
She giggled. “You’re welcome. And thank you. I can’t believe you stood up to Marcus Flint! It’s no wonder you’re a Gryffindor!”
He grinned back at her. “Yes, and I am feeling the pain of bravery right now,” he said dryly.
Penelope nearly melted at the sight of him. He had defended her. Right after he had kissed her. However would she repay him?
Eyes twinkling, she grabbed Percy’s face in her hands and snogged him senseless.
