Also; why is your mother teaching your brother's girlfriend French? Est-ce qu'elle ne peut pas parler correctement?

My brother's girlfriend transfered to a different school recently. In the previous one she was learning English and Italian... but in her new one Italian wasn't available. She had to start learning French instead. Now she's got a year and a half worth of material to catch up on during this term :/ My mum teaches French at university, so she's helping her.

I see... Mm, well French is a hard language, I wish her all the luck. /been forced to learn it since she was 11

Yes, it is hard. I had to learn it in junior high school and the results were unimpressive :/
Your icon is hilarious. That scene from the trailer never fails to amuse me. The episode is going to be epic xD

Yay for cats, they are awesome! I'm a cat person, too :D
Lol, it's funny how we had to read the same stuff in American Literature. Well, we got lucky and read The Europeans by Henry James, that was boring, too, but at least it was shorter.

I really like lots of 19th and early 20th century English and American novels... but James' writing style really rubs me the wrong way. I guess it's his tendency to tell instead of show that makes his writing so tiresome.
Actually, I think it's because the English and American kids read this stuff in high school xD Sites like for example Spark Notes are clearly made for them and most of the stuff we take is described there.

Idk, I don't really care much about any stuff we had to read as obligatory literature. I prefer sci-fi and fantasy, and that sort of reading material practically never comes up during studies.
Poor school kids, reading that sort of books :( No wonder they get turned off reading forever afterwards.
