grunt hunt 9: announcements!
GH9 ITEM, THE FIRST:
holy crap, the hunt is nigh! five months really shouldn't fly by that quickly. it's just immoral and, really, some of us (okay, just me, then) take offense at that sort of nonsense. but yes, it's just around the corner. are you ready? gotcherself a team yet?
GH9 ITEM, THE SECOND:
due to popular demand, grunt hunt 9 will be taking place saturday, october 6, 2007 from noon to 5pm.
now given that that particular weekend is in fact a three-day weekend for us new englanders because of the holiday, would anyone be opposed to having the hunt on sunday, october 7? this will grant us organizers one more precious, precious day of planning and make it so that a particular unnamed team can participate (since they otherwise have a wedding on the 6th).
what say you?
GH9 ITEM, THE THIRD:
official invites will be sent out tonight. please reply to that email, comment on the next community post with the official attendees list or get a hold of staff to confirm your attendance.
GH9 ITEM, THE FOURTH:
at this time, the hunt will not be taking place at the cambridgeside galleria as it has in the past.
for gh9, we will be rocking out in harvard square in cambridge.
in particular, operations will take place in the eating area of the au bon pain on mass av. participants can chill in the indoor part of the eating area, the outdoor part of the eating area, the pit, harvard yard, the garage, the harvard t station, etc. there are plenty of bookstores in the area, lotsa foodie places, as well as a more tolerant attitude toward random hyjinx given that harvard university students and tourists frequent this area.
all of this is, of course, full of win.

beware of team misleading redfish, the collective body of hunt staffers and adminny type folks. for this hunt, the fabulous miss jenny and the inimitable mister chris of the oh are on board to help with the creation and flow of the event... and i hear that they don't go anywhere unarmed.
UPDATE:
the people have spoken and the hunt will in fact be on the saturday (and not on the sunday).
