[There's a very low growl on the other end. Thanks for making him almost go deaf, Benson.]

Be quiet.

...Alright.

Is the place...dangerous? I heard some kid talking about safehouses earlier, so...

Dangerous. [A beat.] I take it you've yet to receive the pamphlet, then.

Unless every house comes with them along with the freaks living in the one I woke up in, no. I didn't.

...wait here.

[At that, Shadow turns and walks back to his house, good ol' 505 Ricardo. A moment or so later, he'll trudge back outside with a letter in hand. Which he'll then promptly hand off to Benson.]

[Benson's eyebrows raise a little at the sight of that. Oh, great. The guy lives right next door to him. Perfect. He sure did a great job making a good impression on his neighbors.

He takes the letter once Shadow hands it to him and skims through it before sighing and putting it in his pocket.]

Wonderful. Just what I needed.

..Thanks. Sorry about earlier. Uh. I just had no idea what was going on, and I thought my employees might've caused it.

It's nothing.

[Hell, when Shadow first arrived, he didn't have a clue either. But the letter did make transitioning easier. He's not heartless enough to avoid an opportunity to pay the favor forward.]

...I'm Benson, by the way. I guess I better get to know people, if I'm going to be stuck here that long.

[And he awkwardly extends his hand for a handshake. Hanging around other people is something kind of new for Benson.]

[Same for Shadow, really. But he'll take the hand, regardless.]

Shadow. [And he'll shake it firmly before releasing him.] Looks as though we're to be neighbors.

Looks like it.

I've never...lived in a neighborhood before. It beats the apartment. I guess.
