read donaldson.he have a deadline.his next covenant book will be released 2010 and the next 2013.so if one says he will release his next book at the date,everyone can wait without updates.

but i think you cant give up waitin or reading asoiaf.i think you have already subscribed ADWD.

I stuck with the whole damn Goodkind series, but the preaching is what got to me. I don't read fantasy to be moralized at for a thousand pages. With Jordan, it bacame a mission to get through the things. I really can't stand a story that you need reference materials to figure out what the fuck is going on. It's becoming that way with ASOIAF as well. And of course, having years between the books, you have to re-read the entire series before each release because you have completely forgotten what happened.
