Not a particular event in the stories of this series, but the day I discovered how much of a fat money grubbing bastard with no work ethic that Martin is, was probably up there with worst events in ASOIAF

Seriously, George RR Martin is a bit of a prick. He complains about Jo Rowling's last novel and yet she managed to get her entire series out within the decade.

I respect the man's stories but he himself, I can do without.

whos he kidding? He wrote and I say HE WROTE after his last book he cut it in half. Said the book was to long so here we are six years later and he had half of the book wrote and Now he says he has no time to write the book. Tired of waiting for a book already half written. I think his last name should be KING!

If that were the case, then all we need is a near-death car accident for Ser Portly, and he'll churn the rest of those books out in a few years flat.
