So we were watching Dennis Leary's rock comedy SEX&DRUGS&ROCK&ROLL t'other night. The plot of this episode involved Gigi firing her band, the Assassins, and bringing on a new band of younger musicians to take their place

On the topic of JRR Tolkien, how do you feel when people compare him to yourself? I'd be honoured, personally, but I do think that your writing styles, themes and topics differ quite significantly, perhaps even beyond comparison.
I enjoyed Fevre Dream a lot. I especially love the first scene where Abner Marsh meets Joshua York.
I guess it was written way before you started AGOT. But even then I could see glimpses of your trademark writing style.
While York & Marsh are having their midnight supper, I was half expecting a "grease ran down his chin & he wiped it with his sleeve." :D
Thank you for creating such memorable characters. You've changed the way I read.
Perchance will you write a sequel to Fevre Dream? Or a prequel may be. Please write about Abner Marsh's life before he lost his boats in that fateful winter. ( Winter comes in all your books, doesn't it?)

Crusader Kings 2 has several, as well, even outside of the Game of Thrones mod. There's an event that can pop up when you're raising a young girl which allows you to teach her how to fight, with the option to do so reading something like '[Girl] was supposed to work on her embroidery, but she clearly favors another kind of Pin.'
I've never seen it personally, but there's also apparently an event to have a young child catch you in the act if you're engaged in an illicit love affair, with the option to either kill the kid or let him/her go and cause the affair to be exposed. The option to kill the kid reads 'The things I do for love...'
