Hi George,

I just wanted to say thank you for creating ASOIAF. I've been going through a rough time in life lately and reading your books makes me feel happy and allows me to appreciate the complexity of human nature, which most books, quite frankly, fail to do.

I think it's SO cool that you personally make such a concerted effort to keep Santa Fe a unique creative place in the US, unlike so many other towns slowly folding into another homogenized version of every other town, any where else in America. Thank you for that!!
