I used to have a page called "What I'm Reading" on my old website. It's still there on this new(er) website, actually, but I haven't updated it in years. Keep meaning to, but there's too much to do, too few hours in the day ( Read more... )

What are you watching on TV, besides Game of Thrones?

Doing a lot of binge watching. Just finished OUTLANDER. Just starting the second season of ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK. Looking forward eagerly to the return of TRUE DETECTIVE... though they will have a hell of a time equalling season one.

True Detective is the best choice. It was nice to be able to binge-watch the first season; watching this season week by week will be hard to bear. I think there's an unfilled market for a short-run horror series with Lovecraftian elements. Modeled maybe on Stephen King's short story "Crouch End," which IMO is a better Lovecraft story than anything Lovecraft wrote.

True detective!! Amazing! So painful but real. I can't wait for season two. I love when comedy actors take serious roles.

Again, excellent. You must be psychic along with all of your many other talents. I was wondering what you might be reading. They sound interesting.
I'll add the titles you mentioned to my list of books to get. My reading pile has become a small tower. So many good books, so little time. Speaking of which, it's time to watch last week's episode before this week's episode airs of a show that is truly dear to my heart on HBO. The books that it's based on are even dearer to me and reside in honor in a pile of their own. Thank you

It's interesting that you would post about your current reading since I am rereading A Song of Ice and Fire (currently 200 pages into ADwD).

Outlander is an amazing show. I binge watched the first half of season 1 before the second half. If it means anything to you, I do have a couple of shows I can suggest: Penny Dreadful and Silicon Valley. Penny Dreadful is like a fantasy, horror type show. Eva Green stars in it and she's incredible. Silicon Valley is a comedy, it comes on right after Game of Thrones so you've probably heard of that one :)

If you haven't done it yet, you have to watch Band of Brothers. Best thing on HBO ever... I mean, best thing on HBO until GoT came along :-)

Actually just finally got around to watching this recently and totally agree with you, it is very good. Going to check out The Pacific soon also.
