Scenic Santa Feext_2507292December 6 2014, 23:16:45 UTC
I had the pleasure of spending the better part of an afternoon in Santa Fe this past summer. Vacationing with friends in Cimarron Canyon for the week, I knew that it was my best chance to witness the majestic Jean Cocteau.
Being from north Texas, the thing that struck me about Santa Fe is the use of adobe as a featured material for most of the buildings found there. Even the Starbucks and Wells Fargo were sporting adobe walls. Is there a reason why that is? Is it a civic initiative, an ode to the historical significance of adobe, or simple practically?

If you are going to Santa Fe I recommend staying at this Inn.
It's located between the Jean Cocteau cinema and Old Santa Fe. Just a few blocks from each.
Nice rooms and good WiFi plus free parking. But the best thing about the Inn besides the location is the free breakfast buffet. Fresh breakfast burritos and waffles and lots of fruits. It is excellent.
If you haven't been to Santa Fe you need to go. Great food, shopping and sight seeing. Plus it's one of the most historical cities in America.
Chuck Jones Gallerypez001December 7 2014, 18:46:02 UTC
My wife and I were wandering around town and came upon this little gallery. It's all animation artwork, mainly (though not exclusively) centered around Chuck Jones. The employees were really friendly, and it was really cool as an animation buff to just stumble upon this.
We'll have to at least try to drop by the Jean Cocteau if/when my wife and I visit Santa Fe during our week in Albuquerque with my family just after Christmas.

Oh, and this guide would've come in handy.
