This is so obviously photoshopped that I'm really not getting why would you post this as something seen IRL.
Is this some kind of funny?

Ah... it IS something that can be seen in real life. It's called "advertising."

Ah! That one.
Yeah, I should've seen it coming.
Still, how can this improve the sales escapes me. It's a good thing it's none of my business.

How can I find out exactly when & where I have to be to get a signed copy? I'm a NYer. As far as I'm concerned, if that car makes YOU happy, I am as well. :) I'm wondering, will Elio and Linda be coming to NY too? Or are they holding court for the book in Stockholm?

Somebody might get in trouble for this. As far as I know, New York City still has a ban on "moving billboards": vehicles decorated with advertising that serve no other purpose on the road than for the advertising to be seen.

I would doubt this would apply to that rule. These are essentially graphics. I'm sure there are marked vehicles all over NY as well as people that have personal vehicles wrapped.
Mobile Billboards are normally on the back of a flatbed.

Yeah, no big ol' mobile billboards here, but plenty of advertising on personal vehicles. Especially those little Redbull cars, which are pretty common. Cabs and buses are pretty dec'd out as well.
