Dark Sword Miniatures has posted lovely pictures of some painted versions of their latest crop of Ice & Fire miniatures over to their website. Gorgeous stuff. I thought I'd share them.

Here's Varys the Spider, painted by the amazing Jen Haley.

So I know you're a football fan and this probably isn't the right place to post this, but if you get a chance to follow the NHL playoffs at all the Boston Bruins have a guy who when on skates is 7' so we have officially dubbed him The Mountain that Skates

Now that he's growing his playoff beard he's even starting to look the part of Conan Stevens

Thanks for the kind words.

Benjen Stark is the one in Night's Watch black with the chipped shield and winter cloak. The one above it with the Lannister shield is Bronn.

Thanks!

Jim

Hey Mr. Martin huge fan I have two questions for you. My first one is have you seen the Aiden Gillens performance in The Wire that makes him just as corrupt as LittleFinger? Also (sorry for the spoiler question) do you wish you gave ned a bigger role in future books? I only ask because he along with Tyrion and LittleFinger are my favorite characters. If you don't respond I completely understand keep up the hard work!

As much as it hurts me to say (after all the expectations and high hopes i had for the tv series): those miniatures tend to meet my "inner picture" of the characters from your book far more often than the television people did. I can't even remember when the last pictures of a miniature came out that i could not approve from the point of "that's close to what i imagined". Those guys are doing awesome work.

Maybe one day the designer who made the sketches from which the miniatures were finally made could participate in doing one of the calenders?
