In London

Nov 06, 2010 23:30

Left Malta today for a quick visit to London and my British publishers.

The shoot is still going well.

I'd post more, but I'm in serious need of sleep.

George...when you get back Stateside, make sure you take a few days off and relax, yeah? I think it's time. :)

Wow, you have a very busy life, George, tomorrow you could be in South Africa (Or in Westeros...)

Hi George, I know there's nothing on your appearances page about it but if you decide to do a signing whilst in London or drop into Forbidden Planet or something, please let me know as it would be great to meet you and get some books signed. It's not often your favourite author's in town :)

Ok no problem. I imagine you can't wait to get home after all the travelling you been doing :)

You'll have to come back for a longer visit next time you get the chance though.

I'm glad ASOIF given the opportunity to travel and see new places and so therefore the output delay of the book. I like feast of crows because it develops over the history and the issue of the three queens is very interesting. Amazing chapters of Dorne and iron men. I know his novel for only 2 months and I loved it. My question is if you know the end of his story or is improvising? I also like dying of the light. I'm not sure of the final but I think I imagine the worst right? sorry for my english.
Greetings from Spain

Dying of the Light was a very cool read. That book really had me thinking.. I kept going back to it in my thoughts for weeks. I think it is safe to assume an unhappy ending... the story of Worlorn was a fairly grim tale.

If you like Dying of the Light I would suggest picking up Fevre Dream. Another great story by Mr Martin. Entirely different from Dying of the light to the same degree that Dying of the Light was different from ASOIAF.

Though the writing style of Martin is fairly similar in all his works I still find it amazing to realize that they are the same author. The tone and flavor of his books are so entirely different from eachother.
