Then I will probably not get tired of hearing it. Keep pushing on that book, George!

I was curious- was your proposed "Avalon" story originally going to be a huge scale sci fi story like Ice n Fire has blossomed into? And if so, did Ice n Fire end up with some characters or plot lines of Avalon?

And, would you pursue Avalon after finishing Ice and Fire?

It's an interesting question and I'll echo it.

The "Thousand Worlds" setting has some definite epic stuff in its background, but none of the published stories and novels set there are epic in any particular way.

If I had a guess, Avalon wasn't going to be an epic, either. Just a feeling, based on the name: the planet of Avalon is a center of learning, and I would have supposed the novel would have something to do with that primarily.
