My dad is is home and well on his way to a full recovery.

I have three days off of work.

It is warm and sunny.

OH is taking me out for a drink tonight.

Life is good.

My dad has started speaking again and can move minimally, which is a vast improvement. I won't go into details because then I start crying and that's helping no one ( Read more... )

My mum called about an hour ago to tell me that she's been up the hospital all day with my dad, who's had a massive stroke. They are still trying to assess how bad it was but he can't speak properly or move his right side at all. They did a brain scan when he was first admitted but it didn't show anything as it was too early. The speech therapist ( Read more... )
