Just taking a quick moment to update. I think I'm going to have to apologize to my flist soon for spamming. Ever since I discovered LJ Book I want to use my LJ not just for fandom stuff but for RL stuff. Yes. I'm really starting to "get into" LJ despite the fact that I've be on it for 2 years now--I'm really only starting to make total use of it now. I keep almost going for paid account. But since I use Firefox and bloc ads--everytime I go to see what I'd get with a paid account--it somehow just doesn't seem worth it since I already don't see ads.

how nice that you're able to browse the 'net from your balcony, with the sound of the surf in the background. (being a "water sign" {just like jared, hee}, i LOVE the ocean - lucky you to be there now.) OMG, fireworks on the beach - awesome that they did that for your BD ;D.
several years ago on a return driving trip to BC, we took Hwy 1 thru oregon and were very impressed by its coastline - so gorgeous! i'm looking forward to seeing your photos.
and jared! so cute!!!!! and i, too, hope jim can make it to either (or both) chicago and LA.
enjoy the rest of your stay - if you happen across a couple of starfish or cute litte seals, name them sam and dean! :D

We haven't even walked on the beach yet! We've got such a great view that we've been spending our time relaxing and with each other. We're about to go out to a restaurant our daughter recommended and then, finally (unless we change our minds again!) are going to get to that beach walk.

I love driving 101 and Hwy 1. It's been years since I've made that trip--probably 15 years now.

Thanks for the link to Jim's My Space. Does he friend fans or just people he knows?

BTW, any word on who Jared brought to the Sydney convention? *eg* Maybe he treated his sister with a trip to Oz for graduating?

Surftides! That's our absolulte favorite place to stay at the beach. I think they are starting to have a problem with erosion though. If you walk down the loooong flight of stairs to the beach right below, you'll see what I mean.

Thanks for the Jared pics. Doesn't he look fantastic? Rhetorical question of course!
