Decided to resurrect one of my LA Con 2009 photos and apply some of the filtering techniques I've learned recently. Still not as good as those I've done with elsiecat's photos since mine are not as sharp as hers.
I've been using two filters by Topaz--Topaz Clean, which I started using about a month ago and I'm very, very in love with. And now I'm trying out an extract filter by Topaz called Topaz ReMask. One of the labor-intensive things that I find a bit of drudgery is extract out images from their backgrounds. I'm trying to see if this plug-in makes it any easier. I'm on the fence so far. Have to try it out a little more.
I couldn't figure out which filters it was - it was none that I knew of.... But I don't have extra plug ins now - not since my computer crashed and I had to change hard drive. But I'll try to install this then - it looks cool. Looks like an easy way to get a head start on a paint-over.
--you can see the Topaz Clean filter a little better than from this post. The crisper the original image--the better Topaz works. I used the Remask filter on Richard as well.
