I am in the same spot as you.... I had never heard about it, and then I've noticed people starting to talk about it - and liking it! Unlike you, I looked it up, and I KNOW I will love it!
But yeah - I can become obsessed? I even talked about SPN in group therapy today - how is that for obsession? lol

(and FYI: it wasn't because I actually talked about SPN - but because I talked about my social anxiety in relation to going to a SPN con...)

Yea, it looks like I'm going to have to check it out.

And I can't tell you how many times I've had the conversation with myself and others about "social anxiety" about going to an SPN con. It seems to be a common concern amongst those of us who go to these things. I think it's one of the reasons I found I lose my social anxiety at these cons. Because I'm around hundreds of people who are just like me! And who love the boys! And who can get obsessive about something as "silly" as a tv show.

I hope your group was able to reassure you.

... and now I am dl'ing the first eppy! lol!

Yeah, the group was good. I can't really talk about it here - in your thread, but I might post about it in my own LJ - on the filter where I talk about these things...

I think I saw someone talking about it on LJ and posted a picture of the cast or something. I shouldn't say that I thought it looked good.

anteka told me, "It's basically about an optimistic teacher named Will Schuester (played by the delightful Matthew Morrison), who attempts to save McKinley High's Glee Club from obscurity. Along the way he helps his group of underdogs and outcasts realize their true star potential while singing a lot of songs. :) The show follows the glee club kids (along with the other cliques of jocks and cheerleaders) and the adults (Will's wife Terri, Emma the OCD guidance counselor, Sue the maniacal cheerleading coach) and how music touches all their lives, in sometimes awesome ways."

Darnit--It's likely something I'd really like.

Has it already started or is about to start?

I guess I could go look it up myself, but...I'm pretending to be busy today.

I'm not sure if I like the show (one of the plots is currently bothering the heck out of me), but I like the music And there's LOTS of music. Not only that, but the cast does their own singing too. I've been posting the episodes.

Oh god. You're killing me here! :)

Yea, I've decided I need to check it out. Musicals are a HUGE weakness of mine. My favorite iPod playlist is this very weird combination of classic rock and showtunes. AC/DC meets Gene Kelly kind of stuff.

Yea, I'm weird. :)
