You know I was just thinking about Carnival and Lent and all that jazz, seeing as it's already Ash Wednesday here. So this was a very enjoyable read. :) It's always great to see how everyone celebrates the same day differently. XD

I especially liked the ones about Spain, England and his brothers and the Mardi Gras. And I thought the one about Russia and his sisters was really sweet. I don't usually read much on Eastern Europe but family fics always make me aaaah. <3 And wow, Spain. If he's not throwing talcum powder he's throwing tomatoes. Seriously, and getting it all over Lovi's designer clothes? I love you Spain. Never stop being so buhyooo. <3

And well you know, I have such a soft spot for the British siblings. Especially when Scotland and Ireland tag-team to bully England. But that's family for you! And the head thing sdl;lkf, they were so barbaric as children. XD

I love New Orleans, and I love France fff so much. I'm surprised he came at all ahaha, obviously he's looking for some kind of compensation. I don't always like ( ... )

Thank you for commenting :) I always like seeing how different cultures celebrate the same day with similarities. For some reason I think that's cool.

Well, I guess as a Canadian when I think of "Mardi Gras" one tends to think of "New Orleans" first just because that's the one you hear about the most. But I really want to go to Rio for Carnival one year. I think it would be swinging!

I thought this was brilliant! I love fics where it segregates one global event and displays the different styles of it's celebrations across the world. It examples the true diverse culture of our world, and just how much we should celebrate it.
The style you wrote this in worked perfectly for this sort of fic, so kudos!

Thank you for the comment! I have a soft spot for seeing how different cultures are so different but also share some similarities. It kind of makes you think we're all in this together and most of the time we can always find some common ground.

Ahhh, goodness, I loved all of these. Most of them are just so exceptionally familial (something, sadly, you don't see too much of in the fandom) and sweet that I can't help but love every group you featured here. You taught me a ton about lent too, ahah. So thanks for sharing :D I enjoyed it so much~

It's nice to take a break from romance and try out familial once in a while :)
Man, I knew next to nothing about Lent until about three months ago D: The things you learn. Thank you for commenting :)

Wow... being someone who is not Christian, there is a lot I don't know about these holidays, even living in the United States. I feel so much more educated now, about both the days themselves and the world cultures that celebrate them, which is always a nice way to start off the day.

And man, your characterizations here felt so real. The warm family settings and the sometimes comedic-sometimes fuzzy interactions were all just so sweet.

...just to conclude, my nation = ♥♥♥ XD

I love weird German traditions, some of them are so bizarre I don't even know what to do with myself.

I know next to nothing about Wales, so I always feel weird mentioning him but having no clue what sort of things he represents/his history/etc. Maybe that's just me. Maybe he was lurking in the background and tripped all his brothers. Pfft he was totally Canada's godfather, he taught the kid all he knows about getting away with shit because people can't see you

I love Southern drawls. Apparently among my friends that makes me tacky.

Thank you for commenting! I will definitely have a, um....interesting first Lent, that's for sure!

Oh my God I just have this mental picture of some guy on England's couch watching Dr. Who and trying to draw England into a conversation about which doctor is better D: I need to write about Wales more.....
