Oh man, I love this pairing so much I always get so excited when I see fanwor for it. I really like your characterisation of Matt, how he's not flighty or spineless or intimidated by anybody, but still a quiet person. Too often he's depicted as a pushover when he's really not. But this! I loved it. :D

Yes, thank you! I always saw Matt as being more subtle than his brother, but still quite North American. I mean, Canadians are definitely not pushovers, they're just...forgotten!

Anyway, a wonderful first chapter. I love all the character interaction and the dynamics you've set up. It makes me really love forward to what's going to happen in chapter two.
