Today, Tuesday, June 6, 2006, Billy Preston died. For those of you unfamiliar with the work of this great man, he was, as Ringo Starr once said, "one of the finest, if not the finest hammond organ player in the world." This is an understatement. He had talent, he had love, and he had soul. The first time I saw him was singing "Isn't It a Pity"
