Summary: Project Saving Adam insues… part 2
Notes and Warnings: A bit of ‘gender’ bending and sex. Just as a fair warning. Also mentions of past abuse and rape are intermingled throughout the chapters from now on.
Adam lightly pricked Tony’s neck with the incredibly sharp knife, nearly panicking when he started seeing the black blood form in the gash. Tony whimpered slightly, but then murmured encouragingly, “Drink it before it heals.”
Adam was a bit hesitant… and if not a bit repulsed. But… something deep inside of him wanted to drink Tony’s blood. And then he heard Tony whimper again… and that was enough for him. He gently pulled his boyfriend up against him and kissed those glossed lips gently. And then he trailed his lips down Tony’s jaw line… and then his throat… until finally over the spot where the black blood was welling up.
He took a taste of it and nearly gagged.
It tasted like nail polish remover.
GROSS. But… Adam knew that he had to do this, and started drinking.
It tasted worse than cough medicine! Sky hadn’t been joking when he’d said it would be a bit bitter.
Yea… it was bitter alright.
And then he heard Tony moan… in pleasure.
Suddenly, the taste changed… into something more sweet and drugging. Adam figured it was Tony’s soul. And Adam… found it hard not to get addicted.
Tony moaned again and licked Adam’s neck, practically purring like a cat. He rubbed up against Adam, his back arching and his moans growing louder. Until finally, he couldn’t take it anymore and gave Adam a run for his money on soul feeding.
Adam gasped against Tony’s neck, a trickle of black blood running down his lips. He saw a bright flash of light yet again as Tony suckled on his neck, feeding on his soul energy. Adam gently nuzzled Tony’s neck and gave it a kiss, watching as the knife wound healed quickly… until it faded and was no more.
Tony pulled back and took a whiff of Adam’s scent.
And drooled.
Wow… Adam smelled… yummy….
There really wasn’t a whole different aspect to his smell except for now having a bit of demon flux on him. And it smelled incredible. Adam blinked, suddenly feeling a bit nauseous. He pulled away from Tony and threw up in a toilet until he thought his shoes were going to come out of his mouth. Oh God, that was fuckin’ horrible.
Tony was there the whole time, gently rubbing his back, concern and fright gracing over his features. What was wrong with Adam?
Was it natural for a latent angel hybrid to barf after feeding on a demon hybrid’s soul?
And then Adam was through after a few more dry heaves. “Oh God. Tell me I don’t have to do that again.”
Tony sighed softly and murmured, “I’m sorry honey.”
Adam gave him a shaky grin before saying, “It’s not your fault. Um… how are we supposed to know if this whole thing worked?”
“SKY!” Tony practically bellowed loud enough to wake the dead.
Sky opened the bathroom door and came inside, followed by Tommy. Both were startled to see Adam rubbing his stomach and looking whiter than a sheet.
“What happened?” Sky asked softly, looking over at Tony.
Tony explained what happened.
Tommy came up and reached out to touch Adam. Tony growled, suddenly feeling a very odd hostile surge go through his body.
Sky’s eyes widened. “Shit… Tommy, back away very slowly, keep your hands up.”
Tommy blinked and did so, eyes warily checking Tony’s stance. “Dude…. What’s going on?”
Sky watched as Tony visibly relaxed… going over to Adam and wrapping an arm around his waist possessively. Sky told Tommy softly, “It’s the temporary bond, Tommy. Tony’s going to act protective and possessive towards Adam until either he’s told to calm down, or be fucked senseless by him. Either way it goes, Tony’s going to be an ass for a few hours. That could be a good thing. Adam will have a very pissy demon hybrid protecting him.”
Tommy nodded. Ok… he could live with that. “Is he going to act like this during concerts?”
Sky arched an eyebrow. “Probably not… unless they bond completely. If they do that, then Adam has to make it up to Tommy by fucking him senseless every night that he touches or gropes you. Demons are a bit weird like that.”
“Oh.” Tommy said softly.
Sky reached over and ruffled his hair. “We just have to be careful for the next few hours. At least we know the bond worked… at least for Tony. I wonder about Adam….”
Adam still rubbed his stomach, not feeling so sweet. His mouth tasted like ass, and his throat was all scratchy. He was SO not doing that again. EVER.
“How do we find out if Adam feels the bond?” Tommy asked, leaning into the touch of his boyfriend.
Sky took up the knife and threw it at his brother. It was a routine that they did in order to hone their skills… but Tommy nor Adam knew that. Suddenly Sky found himself practically flattened against a wall, an unseen hand holding him in place… and Adam had stopped the knife with his eyes… which had flashed red.
Sweet Jesus.
Tony reached up and rubbed his boyfriend’s back. “Sky… I think he’s feelin’ it alright.”
“I figured that too.” Sky said as Adam released him, looking like he’d been gobsmacked.
“Damn… how… in the hell did I do that?” Adam asked Tony, awed.
“Don’t think about it honey. Right now… we at least know that you are safe… and protected.” Tony said with a smile.
“Great. Now… can we get out of the bathroom and go home?” Adam asked, pouting.
“Sure.” Tony giggled.
Tommy helped Sky up and gave him a peck on the lips, despite the other two males in the room watching. He then murmured, “You ok baby?”
Sky nodded. “Let’s get out of here.”
>..<
Adam squinted at the sunny day and wondered if it had either suddenly gotten brighter or if it was the bond making everything more glittery. Either way… he felt pretty confident about not being hurt at all due to the fact of the temporary bond… the twins and Tommy by his side… flanking.
It was just after sundown that they left the strip mall.
Driving home, Adam said he had to stop by Walmart for a few things.
No one really expected the shooting to be there.
But as soon as Adam got out of the car, Tony knew.
He just KNEW.
It was one of those things that gave you a sense that something bad was going to happen. Jumping out of the car, Tony was around in front of Adam before the shots rang out. They didn’t even see the crazy homophobic ass hole shooting from his moving van.
It was as if everything was moving in slow motion for Adam.
Adam saw Tony collide against him, forcing him to fall onto the ground.
And then the pops…
And the screams…
And a sharp cry from inside the car.
Oh no… TOMMY!!! Sky!!!! Adam and Tony shared the panicked thought.
Soon it was over….
Tony bolted up, ripping open the car door to get to Tommy and Sky, Adam close behind him. The sight in front of them filled them with horror.
Sky… was holding Tommy in his arms, tears streaking down his face….
There was so much blood.
Tommy had gotten shot.
>..<
*Ok guys, I am so not that mean or evil to leave you hanging like that, so here is the next little bit*
It was due to Sky’s quick thinking that had saved Tommy… before the paremedics could get to him… before Adam or Tony could help out. Sky had seen his brother bolt for Adam. The split second decision to put himself in the line of fire to protect Tommy had been what saved the bassist. Sky had shielded most of Tommy’s body with his own, yet still a few bullets had went through him and grazed Tommy’s arm and shoulder. Thank God it had only been that.
And thank God that Sky had fed on sprites the night before. Otherwise… he would have been pretty banged up himself.
Once Tommy got to leave the hospital a few hours after being patched up, Sky never left his side. At all.
Tony had felt so much guilt over the whole thing that he was distraught and crying, despite Adam’s attempts at telling him that it wasn’t his fault. And finally Adam told Tony that Tommy was going to be ok.
Tommy even made it a point to tell Tony that it wasn’t his fault. It had been unavoidable, and that he’d be well enough to play at the show that weekend, as long as he took it easy.
Tony still felt like shit.
And even Adam felt guilty… thinking that if it hadn’t been for him, Tommy wouldn’t have gotten a couple of stray shots. Those bullets had been meant for him, not Tommy.
That night, when Tony was snuggled in his arms, Adam felt a few tears slip down his face.
Oh Tommy… I’m so sorry. He thought.
But then Tony snuggled more into his arms and mumbled, “I think we’ve had enough drama to last us a few hundred years.”
Adam sniffled and said brokenly, “Yep.”
“But… it won’t happen again.” Tony said firmly, eyes flickering red in anger.
“No… it won’t.” Adam felt the anger through the fragile fading bond… and allowed it to fuel his own.
That person had better count themselves lucky to have gotten away this time. If they ever tried that again… they’d be in a world of hurt.
“Since when did you become so morbid? Whatever happened to all the positive thinking?” Tony teased, easing the tension a bit.
“I think you rubbed off on me.” Adam confessed, lightly kissing the top of his head.
“Well… I hope not too much. I love my depressed and morbid Adam, but I love the fun happy one too.” Tony said with a playful giggle.
“Awww, you love me?” Adam teased, mocking a shocked hopeful look.
Tony kissed him on the nose. “Possibly. That’s for me to know and you to find out.”
“Tease.” Adam said sleepily… feeling a bit better without all that worry and angst.
Tony mumbled, “It’s in the job description.”
