ahhh yes....nap time. Nick has been asleep for about 30 minutes. Brady is about to start snoozing in his swing. He really didn't like the swing much when I first brought him home. Thank God he got use to it. It was my only lifesaver when Emily was a baby. Not to mention the damn thing was the most expensive swing on the market. I really ( Read more... )

Congrats to her on the Basics. It's all pretty much downhill. I guess she's going in full time, and not a reservist? Better money anyway. I'm not big on the military (a few friends of mine are kinda screwed up from it), but I do wish her the best of luck :)

Thanks John. She goes back to AIT on the 3rd. I've heard that AIT is actually tougher (mentally) than Basic. Yes, she is active Army. Hopefully, she will get some good training out of it and be able to get a good job when she gets out. I'm not to big on the military either. I'm not sure if you remember, but my husband has been in the Army for nearly 10 years. He is still stuck at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He's been there since April (when he got sent home from Iraq). I've been dealing with being seperated from him on and off for about 1 1/2 years now. It is a bunch of BS. However, I think that for some people, it is a great opportunity. Especially when that person's life is on a dead end path. My sister really needed a change. She is the baby and has always been treated like such from everyone. So, a good kick in the hiney was a great thing. I can certainly see a positive change in her. She left with low self esteem, no self worth, no aspirations.....Now, 10 weeks later...she is very different. She walks with ( ... )

That's good then. I'm glad all's well for her, and if the military is her life path and she wants it to be as such, let it be the best path for her :)
