Sorry I missed this this year.

Most of the issues you had as an abstract avatar I don't think I've had wearing my Infoplasma avatar, perhaps because its less abstract, or maybe people study it more carefully because of the surface detail. Also, was yours large enough that the name tag gets buried depending on viewing angle?

It sounds like the club owner with the lag concern may just hate particles. Some places make you turn them off. I've been meaning to start a rumor that the color green is particularly laggy to see if I can get people irrationally afraid of green :)

Of all the avatars I've worn my Infoplasma AV gets the most attention.

it was not large enough to cover up my name tag. It's probably slightly taller than a tiny. I spent most of my time hovering in "flight." Yeah, the Infloplasm av looks like some sort of hovering robot equipped with a camera eye. My goal was to make an av that looked like nothing in particular.
