Okay, well, that was probably not the very best thing to read at work in a childrens' ER. But god it's so damn GOOD. His flashback came out of NOWHERE for me, just la la la, ha ha ha, WHAM!

Fucking BRILLIANT, woman. Gahhhh.

Yeah, me too. I was just going to have them watch the movie, happy as clams, but then knightmusic asked a perfectly innocent question about what Nick would think of the live organ transplant scene...and yeah, WHAM! is right!

Glad you enjoyed it. I put the vomiting in just for you. Well, not really, but I thought of you while I was writing it.

Love this story!! anonymous July 29 2005, 16:49:29 UTC
I don't care how slow you take this, but this is the best post GD story yet. I think you really have a handle on the characters and Nick's reaction to everything seems so consistent with his character and what happened to him. I love Gil and Nick anyway, but this Gil and Nick are perfect. I can't wait for more!

I seem to keep starting all my comments to you with "I love" and really, this one is no exception.

I love the slow build to this. Nick starting to learn what Grissom is like away from work. The strength Gil shows when Nick needs him. The setting! Good lord the setting may actually get me to try camping it sounds so lush and lovely.

Nick's breakdown at the end was just heartbreaking. Poor dears, I want it to be over for our boys but I think that's a long way off.

Also? I can totally see Gil as a Monty Python fan.
