Honestly, I think that there was so much romance in Book 6 because there ain't going to be a bit of it in Book 7, unless Ron and Hermione get it together.
As for Snape? Still think he's good, and I think I know the reason Dumbledore trusted Snape.

As for not much happening in Book 6? Well, she did say that it was the first of two parts, so it didn't surprise me, really. But I know a lot is going to happen in Book 7: especially since she said there was a reason Sirius died the way he did- so I'm looking forward to finding out about that (even if I didn't like Sirius all that much) :D

What I find strange is how so many people, IMO, overreacted to some of the things in the book, like the H/HR shippers, the Snape lovers, etc.

I really hope Ron and Hermione get together, but I don't want their romance to take the forefront-- this next book is going to be WAR!

WHAT'S THE REASON!?! WHAT'S THE REASON!?! I don't think Harry had it right at all in the end-- that lame reason he gave why Dumbledore trusted Snape-- there HAS to be something else...

I totally overreacted when I read HBP-- I just kept thinking that JKR had signed Snape's death warrant-- that she'd made him the second most hated wizard in her fandom-- and for a character that I love so much, it's hard to accept that. (See, this is where I overreact-- I feel like Snape is someone I know!)

(same person,as above, btw; hates LJ's limit.)

I know people have been wondering if Harry is the one to kill Snape. Somehow, I doubt that. He couldn't kill Sirius, despite him believing he betrayed his parents. He tried to kill Wormtail; again, couldn't do it. And he couldn't curse Bellatrix, for 'rightful anger.' So, if the scenario occurs, Harry won't be able to kill Snape, for he doesn't have the heart for it. I think the only reason Harry feels such hatred towards Snape now is: 1) grief does that to a person, and 2) the connection b/w Voldy and Harry is growing stronger, even if Voldy is not exploiting it this time. So it could be that Harry is feeling more anger by Voldy than he normally would on his own (could this be the 'neither can live while the other survives?')

I was incredibly sleep deprived when I read HBP, and I whizzed through it, so I don't remember a lot of the minor details. I just remember staring at the ceiling in total shock. My mind could not process what had just happened. I think all the fanfiction I've read has influenced my opinion a lot, but Snape has become my favorite character. I just have this gut feeling that he's not evil. Not too sure if he's going to make it or not, because even if he survives, wizarding society would probably all shun him because he killed Dumbledore;they won't care about the reasons behind it. So I think that if he does make it, he'll probably be miserable for the rest of his life (even more than he is now.)

I love your fanfiction. If you get inspired to continue in your universe, you should definitely do it. If not, post HBP is cool too. Either way, you're a fantastic writer. :)

Yes, I whizzed through it too because I couldn't help but be spoiled on the internet. I think when book 7 comes out I'm going to get my copy and then hop on a bus cross country so I won't be tempted to be spoiled!

Not too sure if he's going to make it or not, because even if he survives, wizarding society would probably all shun him because he killed Dumbledore;they won't care about the reasons behind it.This is a HUGE reason why I was so upset-- SO UPSET about HBP. Maybe it's because I write fanfiction, but I feel like Snape is a person that I know. Can you imagine-- if Snape really was forced to kill Dumbledore as some sort of strategy thus becoming this hated figure-- how horrible would it be to live the rest of your life surrounded by hatred? This is why I don't think he's got long to live ( ... )

Hey another Anonymous person! Great minds think alike! WOO HOO! What you said about Snape actually hearing the entire prophecy, etc... Well, the bit about Trewlawney seeing Snape get thrown out...yeah, didn't catch that. Thank you for filling that in! Great minds think alike... ;)

What comes next? anonymous March 29 2006, 02:09:25 UTC
I've been reading and re-reading "Circumstance" with much interest. And I love the plot and the way you have developed the characters. I can't wait for the rest ..... I assume Harry will find Snape and have to patch him up before some last calamity strikes the duo? No ... don't tell me. I'm happy to wait. I have a feeling the best bits are coming. Poor Harry when he finds out how unwell his comrade really is ( ... )

Athea-

Thanks for the wonderful comments. "Oddments" is a great way to put the kind of drivel I post here. I have to say, I'm seriously mulling things over. It would be such a challenge to try to get Harry over to Snape's side post HBP-- but I keep thinking about the characters I've created and what would they do and how would the 6th year progress with these set of circumstances... but I dunno. I've got to finish this story first.

I do think the fact that Dumbledore insists that it is to Snape (and Snape alone) that Harry must take him is very significant. As is the way in which Dumbledore begs Snape - he would never have begged for his life we can guess, so what was he really asking forI know-- everyone I've talked to can't belive that Dumbledore would have begged for his life. Folks also can't get over that Snape would have fooled Dumbledore so-- he insisted that he trusted him right up until the moment he died-- I just can't believe that a wizard as powerful and clever as Dumbledore would have been fooled so thoroughly by ( ... )
