hahahah oh god the first one, a pretty princess indeed.
the second one is simply stunning and god, for me that is like a firmly embedded headcanon, I think Loki was the one to even suggest Thor grow his hair out in the first place. The profile and the plait are absolutely GORGEOUS.
Haha, awww, sorry to keep you up? But it's Thor, so, you know, time well spent! :D
Thank you soooo much! Yes, I totally, firmly 100% believe that Loki's delicate fingers patiently braided Thor's long hair every single time he was about to embark in battle. I like to think it started when Loki was too young to join Thor in battle with the others, but wanted to help his brother in some way and then they just continued the tradition even after Loki was able to join in, until Thor's hair was cut shorter... yeah, that's my head-canon.
Also: I'm riffing off this idea of battle and braids for my next sketch, so, coming soon?
It is totally my headcanon, like I think I might have shipped Loki/Thor's hair at the same time I started shipping Loki/Thor, it was in my head from the start I feel, teen Loki just sliding over as Thor polishes his shield/armour/whatever and taking Thor's blond hair, weaving his slender fingers through it.
I've seen your post on the Avengers community, so happy to see that I'm not the only one to write Thor or Loki as brats, and then I found your art. Which was enough to pull me out from my lurker's hideout. ;)
And then something unexpected happened... I mean, Thor with braided hair. Beyond gorgeous. Braids totally fit Asgardian fashion, they can be so utterly manly, and are also quite accurate when it comes to actual historical sources. Thank you for this picture. I'd love to see more of your drawings of Asgardian brothers with their hair braided in different ways. (Loki in a coronet of thin French braids? Yes, please!) Let's admit it, I'm a sophisticated hairstyles fetishist. :P
