I am ill-suited for idleness.

It's been almost a year. It is far longer than I expected to ever remain here, but it is time nevertheless. I must wonder - how fare the barricades we built to defend from those invaders? Can the village be fortified further, while things are still relatively quiet?

It likely can; I doubt much work has been done on them since the invasion took place. It's just waiting for someone to take a proper lead.
