As far as how I imagine it, I can only recommend my own attempt written about a year ago. I put a lot of thought and incredible amount of effort into it and it was met with overwhelming silence. Still think it is a good story.

I'll follow the previous poster and point to my take on this as well (you don't need to read the whole thing unless you want to, but it does deal with their meeting) - I wrote that in 2008 originally, but polished it up a bit before mirroring on AO3, so I'm linking to it there. Sadly I don't have time to beta anything at the moment or actively offer suggestions, but I think if you're just looking for perspectives, reading others' fics might be useful (and hopefully fun).
