Logue is a sad replacement for Davis, even if he's not REALLY a replacement. Alsooooo, did you say something about having Charlie strut around with his shirt off to get ratings?
Cause, somehow I think I'd be okay with that.
Kidding aside, I'd find that more believeable/tolerable than Dani oomphing up her look like this.
And, Bobby never changes. Check out Ted. No tank tops for them. And, all the cops I see look like Bobby, by the way. *sigh*
Just viewed the thumbnails, grimorie, and Dani's looking very tarty. I'm sure the network execs think that by sexing up Sarah Shahi they'll help the show get more viewers in the prized 18-34 year old male demographic. I think NBC is taking a risk there, but it might work. Frankly, I'm more concerned about something I saw in the last promo- the part where they find the guy frozen solid... I hope that storylines in season 2 (especially the ones in regards to the crimes and the conspiracy) don't venture so outside the unusual that they become outright unbelievable. Life is a different kind of cop show, but it's not the X-files either. That could also cause the show to lose viewers.

I'm not as concerned about the ice man case though since I think Life has handled slightly quirky and strange cases but nothing that would really cross the realm of outright bizarre.

Don't you know, either we don't watch/tv movies, or we don't spend money because of tv/movies, or we'll watch whatever our precious boys are watching because we are none of us gay, or single, or strong minded.
I would say /bitter, but that's a tag that never really ends when it comes to media sexism and irrational excuses for it.

Apparently, its Davis who's being punished, busted down. I suppose it was because she didn't follow the company line and threatened to investigate even if Jack was involved. I'm a little consoled with this because it means that whoever Jack's working with/for is still pretty strong within the LAPD but it also makes Dani's relationship with Davis more interesting.
Will Davis blame Dani for what happened to her? I suspect there will be some resentment but it could also mean that Dani will finally have a friend in Davis.
Davis couldn't be someone Dani could consider a friend since Davis was her Co. Of course this part is all speculation on my part.
I'm in the same place you are over Dani's look, and as hard as I try I can't seem to shake my distaste for it. It's all wrong! If it had just been the hair I would have been able to get over it, but this is far too much. They better explain it. Throw in a line for Dani about how she wanted to try something different. Or something. Otherwise IMO this is almost as bad as changing the actor for a character midstream. :P
P.S. I honestly don't get how this will really help the show's ratings. Will more men really tune in coz she's wearing jeans and her hair's flowy? I honestly doubt it. :P
Yes, if it were only just the hair! But its the clothes as well! I also expect an explanation about the change in look. It's just... so different from the first season. Is she going undercover again without Charlie knowing?
Honestly, I don't know why they think that'll draw in more viewers instead oh, I don't know, the fabulous writing/acting/music/cinematography thing the show was doing and PROMOTIONS from NBC!

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG! i can't wait until the full quality versions of these come out! seriously. i'm dying with excitement and i'm not even sure WHY! maybe because this season's promo pics are better than season one's? not sure. alls i knows is that i'm now WICKED excited. and i like Tarty Dani, I'M SORRY!!! and i like that it's just her in this MAN'S world (which the police department so much is), being tarty. because you know she's gonna be busting chops still.
i do think it'd be interesting to see charlie dressed down more (wink wink nudge nudge) AND in jeans at the office more. and i do agree that Logue has A TON to prove. a TON.

I'm going to be very skeptical about Logue for a while, give him a chance yes, but its hard not to compare him with the awesome that is Davis.
