She'd just been passing on the way to her own office, really. But the view through the open door was enough to have her pausing. Now admittedly she was very new here - as of a mere couple of days ago, as a matter of fact - but she was pretty sure the unit leader was a big guy with dreads. She hadn't the vaguest idea who this woman was.

A spur of the moment impulse made the decision, and she knocked on the doorframe. "Excuse me?"

'Grimm' looked up from the file calmly. This was the new medic. One of her charges, until such time as they found a suitable replacement for Scar.

"Kiara, isn't it? How can I help you?" 'Grimm' set aside the file she was reading and folded her hands on the desk to give Kiara her full attention.

"Yes ma'am," she replied, nodding. Her eyes flickered down to the nameplate. Well, 'respect and fear seemingly harmless old ladies' was the first rule of large catholic families, and the name there was certainly all the extra incentive she could ever need. "I wanted to ask about the status of the unit? There are a lot of rumours going around..." And of course the grapevine reached the newbies last, and she had no idea who to believe when information conflicted.

'Grimm' nodded and gestured to the chair in front of the desk. "Of course. Have a seat." Once Kiara was seated she went on. "Scar has been suspended from duty. His return date has yet to be determined. Since no one else in Pridelands is experienced enough to carry on the job, I'll be filling in as your desk leader for the time being." Well, Nuka was experienced enough in some senses--but one of her orphans or not, she wasn't trusting him to lead a team at his age.
