Y'know, I'm ashamed of my fandom. I only have one which I love enough to describe it as "my fandom" and it's Transformers. I adored the original series right up to the Headmasters. I agre with you, when you have a character who is famous for his disappearing trailer and sixty foot tall robots which can turn into small guns and caset decks, you really can't moan about accuracy. The only constant was the personalities, and even those were a little changable.
Besides which, and as a fan of LOTR I can speak from experiance, when a film is made it has to appeal to the masses, not just the fans. Of course there will be changes, but they are there for a reason.
As for other matters, you know my number, my address and where I'll be for the next three and a half hours. I'm here if you need me. (As long as you promise to keep the plague to yourself!)

Suspects include when they started pretenders, powermasters, G2, when they had a monkey instead of a truck be Prime, when they made it 'like pokemon' by having the transformers collect minicons, the 'bad art' of the recent animated show, the first live action movie, and the second live action movie :)
