It's so strange, I'm only just now commenting on this post but I did see when you made it earlier and it was literally moments after I just checked out the video myself after reading the comments on their Big Idol Show youtube video. It was a strange thing, the video they linked, I don't think Hyo was actually in it so maybe it was a dance taught to all the students in that school at the time which means Hyo was enrolled up until their debut? It's entirely possible someone came from the school again to refresh Hyo's memory of the dance since using that specific song is kind of random and it has been years, which would definitely lead to the Little Winners reunion you mentioned! I would want to say that Hyo taught them and she could very well have after her own memory was refreshed, but the steps were from what, two years ago? I don't know if she'd have been able to get a hold of the clips on her own ( ... )

I've been editing this post (I have a tendency to do that as more thoughts occur to me) but I can't imagine SM asking someone from Little Winners to come on over and show them the dance routine. If there was any refreshing of memory needed (and I'm not sure there necessarily needed to be any refreshing--it's not an overly complicated routine and Hyo pulled it off easily in "Wonderful Outing" in 2008?, which was 2 years after that Winners Girls video was recorded. I imagine like all performance pieces, Winners probably took time to refine and develop it, so if Hyo did learn it--and I think it's clear here that she did--she'd probably been working on it for a while), I imagine that Hyo went to the Winners School herself and not the other way around. She may not be attending Winners Dance School anymore, but she has friends that are probably there and perhaps even among instructors who may still be there. Her one teacher knew her from her elementary school days (and I've always wondered if he was the one she meant when she spoke about ( ... )

I take it back, Craver. I think SM asking a Winners instructor to help them out with the piece would make sense for a very good reason: having one of the Winners instructors come on over and teach it to Yul and Syoung and refresh Hyo's memory would mean Winners giving SM permission to use it.

Hmmmmm.

But I wonder how soon before their recording it that they decided to use it. ARGH. I wish we had a camera behind-the-scenes for these dance pieces!

ORLY. That's freakin *awesome* - you totally win the internet for finding this stuff out, seriously. The idea of Hyo teaching these dances to the others makes me wonder even more if they prepare these things by themselves. I mean yeah, help with choreography, but this was a separate school from SM - directly linked to Hyoyeon. I mean, did anyone else from SM go to Winners? Unless one of their choregraphers is from there but still yet ... this makes me think more that Hyoyeon has been playing a major role in their dance things. But the fact that no one has given her props for it (well, they don't really talk about *who* does their choreography whenever they do talk about the choreography, do they?) makes me think maybe not ...

(Sorry, really rambly - I'm tired and SNSD is the perfect way for my mind to decompress ^^;)

And Street Jam! The only reason I know that competition is because of this clip of a Korean group called Illusion. I still love that routine <333 And if Hyo was at the 2003 one, that means she saw them! * ( ... )

I can't take credit for this find. Lots of people have been bringing up the video, some fans with sentiments of concern ("Um, did SNSD rip off of this group?") and others with not-so-nice things to say. However, once I saw it, my mind started making assumptions--with my bias showing, of course ( ... )

Ah, this is most likely true. And I finally watched the subbed version of that rehearsal - so hilarious XD With Hyoyeon being so aware of those little things, it really makes me hope that she'll work with/choreograph for other groups <3

Perhaps she likes trains... I'm reminded of a certain fic <3 And well, since Hyo's not so busy, maybe she does have time to see her friends' shows? -_-;

I would actually find this to be really cute and awesome if she could and did. In the event that she did, though, I feel like pictures of her sneaking out to attend such things would have leaked out. Though I wonder if people would recognize her.
