Kim HyoYeon spam!!! I kind of want to huggle HyoYeon because I feel like she's the underdog of SNSD. I keep wondering what she's doing in a girl group but at the same time I can understand how it's to her advantage. I can't see her as a solo dancer-singer. Her voice won't carry her. But at the same time, being in SNSD doesn't seem to be letting her ( Read more... )

HO SNAP. Sorry, that deserved capslock ^^; She's *awesome* I really liked that clip of her and Jaewon. It'll be interesting to see her pick up some other styles - she seems to learn really fast.

And that last clip XDD

She's a dancing machine so I sincerely hope that she gets her opportunity to farther pursue her dancing studies and "have her skills acknowledged" as she said in a recent interview. I hope she got to study from more teachers during the group's break because she certainly didn't seem to be getting much exposure compared to other members.

I loooooove that last clip. HyoYeon is being such a dork but her facial expression is so serious. You can actually watch the entire episode with English subs starting here.

Ooh! Thanks so much for that video <3

she certainly didn't seem to be getting much exposure compared to other members.
This is why I love it when they have shows like Wonderful Outing where, although it's all for fun, you really get to see talents that stars don't get to show usually.

HyoYeon is definitely known as the "dancer" of the group, though the viewers/fans'll argue it out. The real toss up is between HyoYeon and YuRi as to who is the "best," but their styles are very different. Not only that but YuRi is marketable in more ways than HyoYeon is, i.e. YuRi is trying to break into acting as well and has done additional work like star in other people's music videos and some modeling. HyoYeon's niche in the group is as a dancer so I worry a little that she's not going to be able to branch out after SNSD, which doesn't take advantage of her hip-hop dancing background anyway. She's also one of the less popular members but I appreciate her silliness.

The "Girls Go to School" "Bonus Track" of the last episode is a nice mini intro to each member. (TaeYeon, the oldest and the leader, and often considered to have the best vocals, is a little cut off in this clip--the bonus track actually starts at around 7 minutes in the previous part if you're interested.
