Xena: Warrior Princess

It's essay-/midterm-writing time, so naturally I have been procrastinating very badly. Actually, I've been procrastinating the past few weeks by watching Xena: Warrior Princess. XWP's six-year run ended in 2000 and I remembered catching episodes on the WB when I was younger (this is taking me back to memories of PA now, too). I wasn't old enough to ( Read more... )

Yes, it was obvious, and an outside joke. ;) The Xena conventions are still going on, and Renee showed at a Lucy concert fairly recently. They had the best chemistry I've ever seen and ever will see, I believe.

(hmm, i miss my icons...)

I don't know how people can't see the subtext, especially in the later episodes. Willful ignorance, I suppose.

YouTube actually has clips from the concert at the Roxy where Renee O'Connor go-go danced on stage with Lucy. =D There's also a cute clip where Renee visited Lucy when she was doing Celebrity Duets and enthusiastically told people to "Vote 1!" They're cute friends. I'm glad a friendship came out of the show for them, considering they worked together for six years.

Ahahaha, Xena is fun to revisit! Fanfics are there to waste your time, you know! And, oh my, what a picture of Lucy. ... There are quite a number of Lucy pics that make me go "oh my!"

So just to waste more time, here is my wanna-be-revenge ;D.
I found it quite amazing that some Xena fandom authors grew to have some of their novels published paperback. There is awesome number of AU stories which are related to the series only by resemblance of the main heroines to the particular characters :). If you want procrastinate more, you can try some od these. For example you can try this one by Ali Vali, here is the continuation - the sense of humor here is sometimes amazing; or this one by B L Miller - maybe sometimes more sweet than bitter, but there is the cat! :)
